How to Systematically learn even from other bloggers

Probably mainly bloggers learn from other bloggers. Because apart from the first blogger ever, probably once every blogger starts with reading blogs and then decide what to do with myself sometime. At the time you will already have learned a thing or two from a blogger.

Blogging Blogger

Yes, or as otherwise called bloggers who write about blogging? Perhaps there is a better term. Anyway, there are some bloggers who write about blogging. Of course I also belong to it. On this blog you can find, not always, but mostly tips from experienced bloggers. Learn as I would call a blogger when he can prove his advice with practical examples.

These bloggers always give good tips on how you can improve your blog or what you should not do. I myself also read these blogs and can always learn much new. Because, as you know, the Internet is indeed pretty fast paced and there are daily to learn new.

Learn systematically

Here, I will now give you a tip on how you can systematically learn from other bloggers, even without this "blogging blogger" are. Analysis is called the keyword and want to show you what I did a few days ago.

I have just prepared a paper with 6 fields with the following item in it and have this printed 10 times
  • First impression
  • Design
  • Navigation
  • Static pages
  • Sidebar / Footer
  • content
Then I chose the 10 blogs in my feed reader, which have most fascinated me in recent times and started the first blog and a blank sheet (6 fields). For each defined field now I wrote down what I noticed everything on the blog. Since then points came as "great logo", "Very Large Fonts", "Lots of links in the footer" and so on

After I had this done in all 10 blogs, I tried to look for common ground and found some. The rest I tried also perform together in a list of dos and tips for my blog.

Why the effort?

As a blogger, you sometimes lose the feeling for the reader a little. For you yourself know your blog, you know how you can find a page and you remember how your blog looks. However, as your readers your blog looks is just another question.

Now if you look at other blogs to you, then you see this as a reader of the blog and not a blogger. Thus, you can find and then compare this to your blog objective pros and cons.

In any case, it pays to take a closer look at your favorite blogs once. If you systematically doing the whole, that is equal to look at every blog, you can benefit from it the most. So best you think in advance what you want to pay, so you do not forget anything.

Do you learn from other bloggers? Do you watch other blogs "active"?
